Tessa Smits

Tessa was born in 1976. She is an author, artist, and publisher. She once believed that success meant building a corporate career after studying at Nyenrode. In 2009, a bankruptcy turned her world upside down. But instead of letting that failure define her, she experienced a creative rebirth — and that bankruptcy turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to her. She has now published three books, all self published, packed, and shipped by her own hands. Alongside writing, she creates art, and part of that work has been incorporated into her artistic notebook / oracle card set Forces of Nature. She spent two years working on it, and the artwork included in the set is truly remarkable. Tessa is a warm, creative woman who seeks what truly touches us, what is real, and what reminds us of who we truly are — infinitely powerful. She knows what she wants and has given me the opportunity to bring her art into the world as a cross-stitch pattern. Thank you for that, Tessa.
